Won a Navan maiden on racecourse bow, and built on that at the third time of asking when edged out by Chicas Amigas in minor event at the Curragh last time. Sets the standard, and ought to handle this different surface.
Has shown plenty of ability, and deservedly got her head in from in a 6f nursery at Wolverhampton last time, winning well and showing improved form. Not taken lightly.
Not beaten far in a listed race at Sandown in May, but better judged on other efforts, and looks up against it as he searches for elusive first win.
Yard best known for jumpers and this US bred showed nothing but inexperience on debut over C&D. Easy to oppose again.
Epaulette half-brother to a number of winners including the useful Snow Trooper. Showed speed but faded tamely on debut at Yarmouth, and similar story there last time.
Kodiac colt whose price increased to 420,000 gns earlier this year. Just outbattled on debut at Doncaster in early-June, and sound claims on that, but missed an intended run in the Coventry Stakes subsequently, and not seen since.
Showcasing half-brother to 2-y-o 1m winner Prontamente out of an unraced sister to 1000 Guineas winner Speciosa. Cost €130,000 earlier this year, and merits a market check on racecourse bow.
Showcasing colt who fetched €230,000 as a yearling. Not knocked about when sixth of 13 to Dirty Rascal in 6f novice at Windsor in September, and could be capable of much better. Market useful.
Half-brother to Coronation Cup second Salouen, but in need of the run in two starts to date, and his future lies in handicaps over further next year.
Forecasts
Fox Champion (11/8), Evasive Power (11/4), Be Like Me (5/1), Venture (6/1), Johnny Reb (8/1), Adam Tiler (8/1), Badger Berry (100/1), Another Reason (150/1), What Will Be (150/1)
Fox Champion ought to go well given the promise of his Doncaster debut, but that was back in June, and he's not been sighted since missing the Coventry Stakes at the eleventh hour. Preference, therefore is for EVASIVE POWER, who showed his best form last time at the Curragh and will be competitive with a mere repeat. Johnny Reb is a well-bred newcomer to note in the betting.
