Consistent up until winning in this grade at Haydock (1m, good-to-soft) in May but posted three lacklustre efforts since. Possibly needs a bit of give underfoot to be seen at his best and today's drop in class will help. Plenty to prove, though.
Suited by a mile and ought to be fine with the predicted conditions. Rider's claim more than off-sets the 1lb rise for finishing second at Windsor last time. Still 3lb above his last winning mark but thereabouts if coping with a recent busy spell.
0-10 so far but has been placed five times, so probably deserves a change of fortune. Races off the same mark as when a good second at Epsom last month and dangerous to overlook if able to take a step forward on that performance.
Has won from a 13lb higher mark in the past, so a feasible chance at the weights. However, he's not stood much racing in recent times and there have to be doubts about his resilience as this will be only his second start since September 2015.
Won on the AW at Lingfield from a 3lb lower mark in April but has been well held from her current rating since. Possibly needed the run after an absence latest but still has a bit to find with Sir Plato on previous form and may struggle here.
Done well in low-key races since joining his current yard but up in class and has 5lb more to shoulder after winning at Chepstow last month. Gone well over C&D before now but is another who would be assisted by rain getting into the ground.

Cuban Heel (2/1), The Groove (2/1), Bombastic (3/1), Sir Plato (8/1), Accomplice (12/1), Redgrave (14/1), Good Authority (28/1)
A chance is taken that events will unfold to suit the consistent CUBAN HEEL, who was just denied in a similar grade at Epsom last time out and will be a tough nut to crack if he can step things up a notch on this more conventional course. Sir Plkato is a likely candidate for setting the tempo and would also be dangerous to underestimate if allowed an easy lead, while The Groove has done well since joining David Evans and, despite this being a step up in class and ratings, the gelding is another to bear in mind.
