Distorted Humor colt who was sold for 145,000gns as a yearling. Dam won at Listed level in France and he has one of the more appealing pedigrees in the field on debut.

Beaten 24L by subsequent Derby runner-up Cliffs Of Moher on debut at Leopardstown in October, this is much easier but still has plenty to do, especially after a fair lay-off.
Shamardal colt out of a Danehill mare who cost 140,000gns as a yearling. Interesting to see him started off at this trip (pedigree suggests he wouldn't want to go much further), but goes for a respected trainer having a good season.

Visually more impressive on his second start in a maiden at Dundalk last time but that was probably a much weaker race than his debut at Navan. Interesting to see how he fares here but may come up short of the required standard.

High Chaparral half-brother to Group 3 winner Sub Rose and Listed-level winner Astonishing. Eye-catching pedigree and the market should prove informative as to his chances here.

By far the most exposed contender in the field, but has shown he is capable of going close in maidens of this nature in the past and he should be able of at least hitting the frame once again.

Vale Of York gelding with a relatively unexciting pedigree who wears cheek pieces on this debut. Others make much more appeal on paper.

Ran only moderately on debut at Naas last month and steps up markedly in trip here. Slight doubt about him getting this far and didn't show enough on debut to suggest a maiden win is imminent.
Showed improvement when stepping up in trip at this course last time to finish second to a talented-looking rival. Back down in distance now which is a slight question mark, but it may be that the longer trip last time wasn't the main reason for his improved form and he should go close if so.

Ran to a similar level in two maidens so far, including over C&D last time out. Needs to take a big step forward from those performances to have any chance in this.

Not disgraced on debut last time for a trainer who's newcomers have sometimes needed the run so far this season. Ran a little green there and is fitted with a tongue strap, which should help in addition to the experience of that first run.

Steps up to this trip for the first time having run some fair races in maidens over shorter (the one exception coming on slow ground which she may not have enjoyed). Should get this far on pedigree and is considered.

Steps up in trip here having failed to impress in two maidens so far. Will probably prefer this distance but still likely lacks the class to prove competitive.

Verdict

With the benefit of a run and having shown signs of his inexperience on debut, perhaps WORLD STAGE can put in a more professional performance here and get his head in front at the second time of asking. Aidan O'Brien's colt ran a good race on that debut given it clearly took a while for the penny to drop, and as a Galileo shouldn't have any issue with the step down in trip. The first time tongue strap is also likely to aid his chance. Ringside Support put in better showing for his second run last time and is feared most, while newcomer Mac Chaparral has an attractive pedigree and can go well on debut.
