Has gone close at both Thirsk (6f, good to soft) and Doncaster (6f, good to soft) on his last two starts, being nudged up 3lb by the handicapper in the process. Has a C&D win to his name from 1lb lower and very much one to get involved here, especially if the ground softens.
2-39, having won a maiden and then in Listed company over two years ago. Clearly not easy to catch right, however, and just held again last time out at Nottingham (6f, good to soft). Same mark today and connections now try headgear for the first time to try to bridge the gap. Not ruled out.
His two career wins have been over further than this trip, over which he has made the frame just once from six attempts. Has already dropped 12lb this season, but whether he has the speed for this even from this mark is something he will have to prove.
Grand servant to connections and the last of his nine wins came over this trip at Ripon (good) two seasons ago. Now 15lb lower and has so far been unable to take advantage of his receding handicap mark. Another 2lb drop here and wouldn't rule out a really good effort.
Has won here over both C&D and 5½f on good to soft/good to firm and he too is a runner whose mark is in recession, now being 17lb lower than his most recent win in 2013. Began to look threatening again from this mark at Thirsk last time and has each-way claims.
All three of his wins have been over the minimum trip and on fast ground and, while he did once go close over this far, he doesn't seem to see it out as well as plenty of these will. Others preferred.
All three of his wins have been over 7f and he has been struggling for form throughout this season so far. Now dropped to this trip for the first time after 21 starts. Not an obvious speed merchant and although he is on a dangerous mark he has plenty to prove at present.
Races over her optimum trip, though all three of her wins over it have been on All Weather surfaces. Dropped 4lb since being well beaten at Thirsk (soft) on her reappearance/stable debut and that puts her back on the mark from which she won at Chelmsford in October. Interesting.
Has got some very good course form to his name, including a fast ground C&D win. His narrow defeat here in October from 8lb higher (when 40-1) is another indicator that he likes this place and in spite of some sizeable defeats since, he could show much more this time and give backers a good run at a price again.
Largely consistent despite just the one win to his name (Ripon 6f, good) from last season. Went well on his return at the same venue in April to be a 2L third on ground probably quicker than ideal. 1lb lower here and back over this trip, with conditions more to his liking, he is a very interesting contestant.
1-25, with just a 5f Chelmsford maiden win from almost two years ago to his name. Races from same mark today as when a 2½L runner-up to an in-form opponent at Newbury last time (6f, good to soft) and has each-way claims.
Now 22lb lower than his last success at Doncaster in 2015 when with Charlie Hills and has dropped 19lb of that since joining this trainer in 2017. Sees out 7f, though most of his better form is over this trip and he handles most ground. Dangerous mark but no major recent signs of an end to his slide.
3lb lower here than when going close at Beverley (1m½f, good to firm) in May but remains a maiden after 22 starts and this first attempt at 6f will demand more speed than he has ever shown. Others preferred.
Dual C&D winner, both from significantly higher marks than this and both on good ground (although has also scored on soft and good to firm). Has dropped a very dangerous-looking 15lb this season and given the record of his trainer here, a market check would be prudent and a return to from can't be dismissed.
Has been on the premises in his last two starts for this trainer, going close at Newcastle (6f, AW) and also when fifth in a blanket finish at Chelmsford (5f, AW) last time. Up 2lb going into this better race. Handles good ground on turf and will need to find a bit more to be involved.
All 13 of her turf wins have included good in the going description and she goes into this from a mark 4lb lower than her last win, which was last year at Newcastle (6f, AW). Stable had a winner this week with one of not dissimilar profile and this mare is not ruled out from a decent draw.
2lb higher than when winning a weaker race at Ripon (6f, good) last month and was beaten just over 1L from today's mark at Carlisle (6f, good to soft) last time. Record at this level none-too-encouraging, however, and will do very well to win a competitive contest of this nature.

Lexington Times (13/2), Pomme De Terre (7/1), Foxy Forever (7/1), B Fifty Two (8/1), Fieldsman (8/1), See The Sun (10/1), Field of Vision (12/1), Bogart (12/1), Laughton (12/1), Kibaar (12/1), God Willing (14/1), Haraz (14/1), Jameerah (16/1), Fang (16/1), Cliff (20/1), Another Wise Kid (20/1), Interlink (20/1), General Alexander (20/1), Meandmyshadow (33/1), Majdool (33/1)
If the ground turns softer then Pomme De Terre would have decent claims here, while Jameerah probably won't want it too slow to have her best chance and if it stays good she remains interesting. Lexington Times and Bogart are among those with each-way claims, while General Alexander, Fang and Meandmyshadow are also interesting. See The Sun is on a very dangerous mark and a big effort would not surprise and the same goes for KIBAAR, who saves some of his best form for this venue and has strong claims on some of his form from not long ago. He can probably be backed each-way and could go very well at a price.
- Kibaar
- See The Sun
- General Alexander
