23,000 gns purchase who is a half-sister to a 2yo 6f winner and out of a 5f AW 2yo winner, related to further sprinting success. Stable had a winner last month for a 2yo debutante and she should be capable of involvement.
20,000 gns yearling. Dam 5f AW winner and a half-sister to Group-placed 5f 2yo Bonnie Grey out of a Listed-placed 5f winner. Stable in good form at present so a market check is advised.
Cost £19,000 last month and is out of a 7f winning half-sister to Listed winners Raphinae (7f) and Nota Bene (6f) as well as 6f-7f winner Tarjman, out of a 6f winner. From family of high-class 2yo sprinter Dead Certain. Another to check out in the market.
€30,000 buy who is half-sister to a 5f 2yo AW winner and a French 7½f 2yo winner. Dam was a maiden in Germany and half-sister to 1m2f Listed winner Foodbroker Fancy and 6f 2yo Listed winner Femme Fatale out of a 6f winner.
Cost €20,000 and is a half-sister to 7f Listed race winner Intense Pink. Beaten just 1L on her Bath debut last week (5f, firm) and should be a serious player with that experience under her belt.
Lethal Force filly who cost £15,000 as a yearling. Related to some moderate winners and ran well enough for a long way on debut at Newmarket's Craven meeting when a 3L fifth of eight. Should come on for that and likely to be thereabouts.
£16,000 buy at the Ascot Breeze-Ups last month. Dam a 1m winner out of French 1m2½f-1m4f winning half-sister to 1m4f Group One winner and Arc third Cavalryman. Pedigree all about getting much further than this and probably one to watch on debut.
€11,000 yearling purchase from the first crop of Red Jazz. Dam won her first two starts at around 7f but this daughter endured a false start to her career when awkward and unseating coming out of the stalls at Chelmsford. Market check advised on her second attempt.
£6,500 buy who is a half-sister to three winners over sprint trips and out of a 5f-6f 2yo winning mare. Grandam a 5f winning half-sister to 7f Group Three winner Pipe Major. Nice enough page for a race of this nature and should improve for her Beverley debut when she had a poor draw.
€11.000 yearling purchase and the first foal of an Italian 7f winning half-sister to Italian Listed-placed 6f-7f winner Gaia Gioffry out of Italian 7f winner. Likely to do better with time and a little further to travel and best watched unless market vibes strong.
10,000 gns yearling. Half-sister to four winners from 5f-7f, including two as juveniles. Dam was a maiden sprinter and full-sister to German Group Two 6f 2yo winner Tagshira out of a 1m-1m2f winner. Stable going well and has already has two juvenile winners this season, so a market check strongly advised.
€16,000 yearling and first foal of a 6f winner. 16/1 and showed early speed on her Windsor debut before weakening out of it. Should do better for that experience today.
€12,000 yearling out of a 1m winner. Grandam was Group-placed over 7f as a 2yo and granddaughter of Park Hill Stakes winner Madame Dubois. Stable 2-44 with its juveniles in the past five years and probably best to take a watching brief on debut.
Price tag fell from 12,000 gns as a foal to 5,000 gns as a yearling. Half-sister to 6f AW winner, out of a 7f AW 2yo winner. Other relatives also won on AW, so perhaps that will be her forte too and another who looks best watched on her introduction to the racecourse.
Cost just 800 gns as a yearling. Dam was a 6f AW winner as a 2yo and half-sister to German Listed-placed 1m2f winner Leonardo's Frend. Top pilot booked, though otherwise portents not good, especially as yard has yet to have its first juvenile winner.
Forecasts
Queen Of Kalahari (9/4), Ghepardo (3/1), Jungle Queen (11/1), Arabian Jazz (12/1), Magic Applause (12/1), Marchingontogether (14/1), Katherine Place (14/1), Elixsoft (16/1), Hope And Glory (20/1), Cove Beach (20/1), Pursuing The Dream (22/1), Grandma Tilly (33/1), Nampara (50/1), Terri Rules (100/1), Dark Hedges (100/1)
Plenty of newcomers here and the most interesting of those are Hope And Glory, who comes from a yard whose juveniles have started the season well and Cove Beach, whose trainer saddled a 2yo debutante to win recently. Arabian Jazz is to all intents and purposes a debutante herself after her Chelmsford mishap and being out of a mare who won her first two starts she remains of interest. However, experience can count for plenty in these contests and therefore GHEPARDO is the suggestion after a nice debut last week., while Queen Of Kalahari is respected.
- Ghepardo
- Hope And Glory
- Queen Of Kalahari
