Sky Bet have refunded all bets on the O'Brien horses forced to withdraw at ParisLongchamp today.
Horses trained by Aidan, plus his two sons Joseph and Donnacha, were all scratched at the eleventh hour from the high-profile Sunday card after it emerged they have tested positive for a banned substance, believed to be zilpaterol – potentially from batches of feed supplied by Gain Equine Nutrition.
The absence of O’Brien snr's runners was announced via a Tweet on the official account of the Ballydoyle yard.
Horses withdrawn from the meeting, including four in the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (3.05) are: St Mark's Basilica, Mother Earth, Pretty Gorgeous, Japan, Sovereign, Mogul, Serpentine, Fancy Blue, Laburnum, Speak In Colours and Lope Y Fernandez.
Sky Bet's Michael Shinners said: "Clearly these are very unusual circumstances and it’s very unfortunate for everyone.
"It only seems fair to those customers who backed one of the horses that was entered today and now unable to run, having their bet voided and money refunded."
