Don't miss our punting guide ahead of Friday's action with tips for Newmarket, Newcastle and Haydock including one to oppose at the latter track.
Every day, our team of racing experts will pull together their strongest fancies and best bets, headlined by the Sporting Life Nap.
Sporting Life Nap - Franconia 2.25 Newmarket
It generally pays to forgive a good horse one bad run and if you're willing to do that in Newmarket's Princess Royal Muhaarar Stakes then you're likely to get a decent price about FRANCONIA.
She was going great guns prior to her complete no-show in the Yorkshire Oaks last time out but it was clearly more than the step up in distance and move into Group One company that set her back.
The daughter of Frankel just wasn't herself for some reason but if you judge her on her previous win over the classy Gold Wand on the Knavesmire, as well as a ready defeat of Cabaletta at Newbury earlier in the year, she looks the one to be on in this event.
Frankie Dettori is 2-2 on her and an immediate return to top form looks likely.
One to Oppose - Significantly 3.25 Haydock
It's not particularly original but SIGNIFICANTLY remains a horse to be wary of if you're playing at short prices.
He has by far the best form in the race but it's not the first time that's been the case now as recent reverses at 8/15 and 4/7 highlight.
He goes back up to six furlongs which could help but there are less exposed runners in here that have shown promise - namely Kawaalees and Marlay Park - who are fancied to progress past Karl Burke's colt.
Multiple Choice - Win Double
Pens Man 1.30 Uttoxeter
Imperium 5.05 Haydock
PENS MAN let down favourite-backers on handicap debut at Fontwell but he ran a promising race with the future in mind and evidently enjoyed the step up in distance.
He gets another furlong and a half to tackle here and while the assessor has nudged him up 1lb for his troubles, there looks to be plenty more to come from this former three mile point-to-point winner.
IMPERIUM could still be way ahead of the handicapper and should be backed accordingly in the mile and three-quarter event at Haydock.
Roger Charlton does so well with this type of staying handicapper and entered him in the Cesarewitch such is the regard in which he's held. Chances are the horse won't get near making the cut for that race but he won with much more in hand than the official margin (head) at Lingfield in June and can pick up where he left off as he returns to turf action.
The Late Show - Finery 7.00 Newcastle
Karl Burke always thought a huge amount of FINERY and while she didn't live up to expectations this year having broken her maiden second time out at Southwell last October, she looks an interesting acquisition for Mick Appleby.
Appleby has made a habit of having his new recruits razor sharp first time up and dropping back to seven furlongs on this track, a course and distance over which she was second on debut, could be a shrewd move.
She's one to monitor in the betting at least having had a breathing operating since joining her new yard.
