OAKLEY - 16:03 Uttoxeter

I'm a little puzzled to see OAKLEY's Tuesday entry over two miles given he's been staying on well over trips at around two and a half miles; he won one of those, making it two wins over Hereford's extended two miles three. This near three mile trip is new territory but ground that looks worth exploring as connections look to eke out a few pounds of improvement that Oakley needs to get the better of the useful but enigmatic Crebilly whose recent win was his first for two years.

SUNLIT SEA - 16:23 Wolverhampton

She's still a maiden but proved competitive in all-weather handicaps last season - closely matched with the intriguingly named Barry The Worm - and perhaps changing out a visor for cheekpieces will help SUNLIT SEA gain that all-important success for her paddock value. She didn't show a great deal at Carlisle a couple of weeks ago - her turf debut - but was entitled to need that first start since December and her yard is gradually going through the gears.

ROUND TABLE - 16:52 Ffos Las (NAP)

Marquessofanglesey sets the standard with an official rating of 84 having bustled up a William Haggas trained odds-on shot [runs Curragh Sunday] at Wolverhampton but can be taken on with ROUND TABLE who ran a race full of promise on debut. Well backed at Newbury, he could only finish fifth but the form is working out very nicely with the first two rated 90 and 95 and the fourth 88 (initially 90) while the ninth, Tropbien - a paddock notebook horse - goes in the first at Windsor. Obviously, he needs to make the expected improvement but his yard has been knocking in a few winners and Round Table should know more this time around.

DOVEY MOON - 16:00 Pontefract

A competitive race in which it wouldn't surprise to see a big run from Kaleido on his fourth start for David O'Meara and first under Danny Tudhope. Preference, though, is for DOVEY MOON who had been progressive prior to disappointing at York where he was caught on the wing on his first run over 10 furlongs. It's easy enough to excuse that run (behind Jez Bomb) and this stiff mile should suit as long as he gets racing room in the straight.

SHE IS FOR ME BOYS - 16:10 Stratford

SHE IS FOR ME BOYS suffered a blip at the turn of the year and had wind surgery while her last time out win came in a first time tongue tie. Two starts prior she ran a terrific race from out of the handicap to be narrowly beaten by the useful Bluey at Market Rasen over an extended two miles five, the furthest she's raced. She is only 3 lb higher and promises to be suited by this new trip and can continue to progress this summer on top of the ground which seems to suit so well.

PIAZZA - 18:45 Kempton

A chance is taken on the fitness of PIAZZA as she takes her first steps on a racecourse since August. Her starting prices suggest she's always been a good work horse as she was a beaten favourite on her first two starts, failing to settle on both occasions. That trait continued to hamper her but she's handicapped accordingly, has got ability and should prove fully effective at this trip; if the penny drops, she could turn out to be well ahead of her mark.

ROBERT ANSTRUTHER - 21:00 Windsor

There are 10 Robert Anstruthers listed on Wikipedia and this ROBERT ANSTRUTHER won't be making it 11 unless he does something remarkable unrelated to his racing career which has seen him fail to finish any better than fourth in seven attempts. However, he's clearly not devoid of ability and has come down 7 lb in the weights while the switch to sprinting for the first time could pay dividends given he's often raced keenly and struggled to get home over seven. He's related to winners at that trip and beyond but his dam won over six while trainer and jockey recently combined to win with Spacewoman who was dropping back to six after two runs over a mile.
