WHENTHEDEALINSDONE - 16:22 Lingfield (NAP)
WHENTHEDEALINSDONE looks to have plenty in his favour at Lingfield on Monday. A close second at Chelmsford on his penultimate start, Roger Teal's charge was less effective off a slow gallop in a stronger race at Wolverhampton last month but there's a decent tempo likely here and he's won around Lingfield in the past. More importantly, his record in Class 5 handicaps since the start of 2025 reads 1112 and he's back down in class this week, with stall one an added bonus.
HURT YOU NEVER - 14:30 Carlisle
Most of these are pretty well exposed and that does include HURT YOU NEVER but she's won 14 races in her career including three during 2025. They came from marks of 69, 71 and 75 so she's got to be of interest again having dropped back to 69 on the back of three runs on turf already this term. The most recent of those efforts hinted at a return to form when third behind Vince L'Amour at Ripon and the stiff 5f at Carlisle should play to her strengths as she's been particularly productive at Hamilton in the past.
TAYGAR - 15:40 Redcar
TAYGAR still races keenly so is probably never going to drop the habit entirely but she's a capable mare on her day and looks temptingly handicapped now from a career-low mark of 62. She left the distinct impression she was going to capitalise before long when second at Ayr a couple of weeks ago and she's won here in the past. A few more spots of rain before racing wouldn't do the mare's claims any harm either.
REGAL ENVOY - 17:40 Windsor
York eyecatcher Redorange is going to be popular here just four days on from what was undeniably a promising comeback, but he's a horse who clearly needs the breaks and stall one could post the odd problem here if getting behind early on. REGAL ENVOY is the pick as he races off the same mark as when successful in this event 12 months ago, having only gone up 3lb for his Bath win earlier this month. When he's hot he stays hot (has completed three doubles in his career) and looks one to follow again despite his advancing years.
MOUNTAIN CAT - 19:00 Wolverhampton
MOUNTAIN CAT looks hard to oppose in the mile novice event at Wolverhampton. He didn't have a hard race when scoring easily enough on debut over this trip at Doncaster at the start of the month, the form of which already working out well thanks to the fourth home, My Ballyquinn, winning a handicap at Hamilton from a mark of 76. The well-bred Mountain Cat has loads of potential and can take this en route to bigger and better things.
