RAJINOORA - 19:40 Kempton (NAP)
Siding with a runner that has returned a beaten favourite the last twice doesn't sound like a road to riches but RAJINOORA lost all chance at Wolverhampton (9.5 furlongs) when stumbling at the start while a slow pace was against her over a mile here prior. Rajinoora was doing her best work in the closing stages on both occasions and she's often shaped as though she'd appreciate this sort of test which is expected to bring procure some progress.
TORMUND GIANTSBANE - 15:51 Wetherby
An opening mark of 123 should not be beyond TORMUND GIANTSBANE on his handicap bow and third start over hurdles. The winner of a bumper, he narrowly failed to defy a penalty against the useful Legal Weapon on his final start in that sphere before making a winning start over obstacles at Carlisle in a race that has worked out quite well. He was no match for No Drama This End last time but the well held fifth has won since, earning a mark of 123 while the third has run well in defeat, finishing second off 125, and is now rated 128 and Tormund Giantsbane can give further ballast to the form.
STATE OF MADNESS - 16:14 Southwell
STATE OF MADNESS has already risen 21 lbs in the weights since joining Charlie Clover but may not be done with yet. His current rating of 73 is only 3 lb higher than his initial mark so it's not as if he's wildly out of synch and the cards haven't fallen for him (from this mark) the last twice. He hasn't shone in two visits to this track but there's no reason why he shouldn't be just as effective here and State Of Madness can make his presence felt.
KEL DU LARGE - 16:33 Hereford
A good looking race. Bingoo shaped with promise on debut for a new yard as did King Jon Oliver in winning at Fakenham while Canty Bay ran well for a long way at Lingfield, his first start for 15 months, and should come on for the run. Preference, though, is for KEL DU LARGE who won both bumpers, including a listed contest, and made the perfect start to hurdling here. It hasn't been plain sailing in handicaps but he ran well enough at Cheltenham before suffering in some scrimmaging at Windsor in a well contested race for the grade and better fortune can see him home in front.
