One lucky Sky Bet racing punter struck gold on Thursday when his £10, 10-fold accumulator made him over £23,000 richer.
The winning customer scooped £23,623.32 from from his 10 successful picks, which consisted of 'win only' and 'place only' betting across Thursday afternoon's racing at Punchestown, Carlisle, Uttoxeter and Brighton.
A key factor in this success was top trainer Gordon Elliott, who enjoyed six winners at Punchestown and this punter picked three of them in Pallasator, Ben Dundee and Felix Desjy.
The bet could so easily have crashed in the 3.35 at Brighton when Pick A Little held on to win by a short head but after that the remaining four selections came home with plenty to spare.
Sky Bet spokesman Michael Shinners said: "Winners weren't difficult to find this afternoon and the biggest price was 85/40. However, it just goes to show that for a stake of just £10, if you're fancied horses oblige you can win an awful lot of money."
