Check out our race-by-race verdicts and nap selection for Monday's meeting at Will Rogers Downs.
19.15 (All times BST): HONG KONG HELEN disappointed at Houston when last in action but went close before that and has the best overall form in a poor contest. Deja Sue showed no progress here last month but hails from one of the meets leading yards and can finish closer while Lakeside Romance is another likely to improve and confirm latest running with Nova Luna. Zipped is a newcomer worthy of a second glance.
19.45: Plenty with claims in this including Added Attraction, who beat Nym at Houston before the latter went on to land a double. Blended Lute has drawn wide today after winning an allowance race here recently at a big price while Hickory Hill landed a starters contest at Turf Paradise last month and In A Fog picked-up a lower grade claimer at the same track. But THORPE D’ORO drops back down in class after failing to land a treble when only third here last time and may prove the one to side with in this.
20.15: Dance Doctor finished behind Kwik and Strong Side when they filled the places here last month and the latter has subsequently been beaten by only a nose in this grade, But VALIANT APPEAL went close in a tougher allowance race than this at Houston last time with Flatout Winner back in fourth and Greg Tracy’s charge can go one better at this lower level. Launch Light Dream has been in good form at Sunland but faces a more difficult task today.
20.45: Robertino Diodoro’s yard remains in red-hot form and NOCTURNAL MISSION looks the one to beat in this. She’s gone close over shorter trips in more valuable claimers the last twice now and won at Delta Downs when last racing over today’s distance. Silky Appeal scored at Turf Paradise earlier but has yet to win over a mile in eight attempts and Bella Kristina may prove a bigger threat with a recent run under her belt. Moro Compass won at Remington in December and has a shout on that form.
21.15: Leighton Kentucky finished in front of College Queen when third in a bunch finish here last time and was ahead of Hey Roxy when runner-up over track and trip earlier. She’s preferred to Tiz The Storm but TAPINDEED makes most appeal in this. The latter faded in the homestretch here last time but still finished in front of Silver Moon Rising and has every chance if back to her best having won seven times last year.
21.45: Ty Kennedy’s presence on recent maiden winner Champagne's On Ice suggests the latter is preferred to stablemate Spendaholic. But the former had earlier finished behind Swashbuckler when the latter won his maiden while Winter Wolf is proving hard to predict and ran below par when favourite at Houston last month. But RECORDER (NAP) has posted a couple of improved efforts since being gelded and having finished in front of previous winner Gambler when second in this grade last month, Jon Arnett’s charge gets the vote to go one better.
22.15: The betting suggested SWEET MARY M would appreciate the drop down to this level last time and Kari Craddock’s filly duly won by three lengths. She’ll take the beating with a similar effort. Bright Bling has found one too good the last twice and finished in front of both Keena and Between The Arches in the process. She can figure again while Floyd Wethey Jr partnered Casino Queen to a maiden victory here and Long Ride Home in a claimer last time but rides Sandy Sangria today with the latter shipping in from Oaklawn and dropping down class.
22.45: The meets leading trainers are represented by recent winners Jazz Music and ROOKIE SEASON. The former won in this grade last time while the latter was beaten in allowance company having dotted-up by over nine lengths before that. Scott Young’s charge may edge affairs back at this level. Nacogdoches has a something to prove in this company though still finished in front of Ray's Angel when runner-up here while Moro Appeal has a shout on his earlier victory at Houston and makes more appeal than Honor Deputy.
23.15: Diamonds N Spurs placed efforts in stakes company at Remington doesn’t look particularly strong form and she’s closely matched with Polly Tiz on earlier form. But Martin Lozano’s charge was beaten by SHE’S ALL WOLFE when Donnie Von Hemel’s filly landed a maiden and it’s the latter that gets the vote at this level having competed in much tougher races at Oaklawn subsequently. Seeing Double won a lowly claimer at Houston last time and it remains to be seen how the maiden winners Kallie Sioux, The One For Fun and Sunday's Vision cope with today’s rise in class.
23.45: Starlight Twist hasn’t raced since December though finished in front of Gray Sky Mesa when runner-up at Remington earlier. The latter was ahead of Righteous Mover when second here recently but the above trio are hard to separate and a chance is taken on maiden winner RED RED WINE. The latter made a winning debut when scoring with a bit spare over track and trip and can make her presence felt in this grade with normal progress.
