Man On The Spot: Longchamp preview and tips for Monday May 11

Don't miss the race-by-race verdicts and nap selection for Monday's high-profile meeting at ParisLongchamp, courtesy of resident tipster Man On The Spot.

09.55 (All times BST, live on Sky Sports Racing): Sestilio Jet, under Frankie Dettori, beat Batwan just under a length in this last year with Ken Colt a further length back in third though that was on heavy going. The runner-up didn't run again and his only success came over a mile. GOLD VIBE, who was fourth a year ago, found the ground too testing and reversed the form with the winner in a Group 3 here in September when third behind subsequent L'Abbaye winner Glass Slippers. It's a long time since he won but gets the vote to make a successful return. We Go, one of three from his yard, has completed an all-weather hat-trick on three different tracks but hasn't done quite as well on Turf. The lightly-raced Duhail has plenty of scope and may do best of the remainder.

10.25: My Charming Prince is the only one of these to have won over the trip and should be fit enough after a good third on the all-weather at Chantilly in March. BLACK COMEDY is another with a fitness advantage and has been in solid form so will be difficult to keep out of the frame and gets the nod. Carribean Bay took advantage of very testing ground at La Croise-Laroche in March so further rain would aid her cause while Royal Ghost has shown enough in maidens to suggest her can grab a place on the podium in a tricky handicap.

10.55: The Champ has been in cracking form on the all-weather over the winter and has every chance of making further progress on Turf. A low draw aids his cause while Tarida will have benefited from her second-spot on heavy ground at Saint-Cloud in March. GANBARU looked like winning at Chantilly in the same month, only headed inside the final furlong over slightly further. The Godolphin grey will be spot-on for this and looks the one to beat. Musetta has been going well on the all-weather and should get a nice run up the inside while Fiburn F has shown potential though has plenty of weight for his handicap debut.

11.25: Coronado Beach has completed a double on Deauville's Polytrack but there's no reason why he shouldn't be just as happy on Turf. Chorba attracted major support on her debut on the same track in December and had no problems upholding the confidence so should be a major player. Twist, runner-up to the outstanding Victor Ludorum on her debut here in September, reappeared with a comfortable success at Fontainebleau. The booking of a 9lb claimer could be significant and he should get into contention. MAZAGRAN, a son of War Front out of a Group 1 winner who has produced winners with her first four foals, had a nice introduction at Maisons-Laffitte and can start paying his way. Speak Of The Devil won a newcomers' event on heavy going at Deauville and may prove best of the remainder.

11.55: There will be some long faces if the Godolphin-owned VICTOR LUDORUM doesn't make a winning return to action. He confirmed his position as the top juvenile in France after an unbeaten campaign with a comfortable victory in the Group 1 Jean-Luc Lagardes here in October. He had Ecrivain and Helter Skelter behind that day and should confirm the form though the latter could provide the main threat as he was staying on strongly at the finish. Devil hasn't done enough to suggest he could beat the selection but the remainder all ran in the Listed race won by Pisanello on heavy ground at Saint-Cloud in March so fitness won't be a concern.

12.25: KHAYZARAAN looked a very nice prospect when easily landing a conditions' event at Chantilly and the daughter of Kingman can make a successful reappearance. She has Tropbeau to beat and the latter showed her worth with a fine run in the Cheveley Park after completing a hat-trick by landing a Deauville Group 2. Dream And Do completed her hat-trick with a battling victory in a Group 3 at Maisons-Laffitte but will need to raise her game while both of Quiet Times' victories have been on the all-weather.

13.05: SOTTSASS will be at very short odds here which is hardly surprising given his outstanding three-year-old campaign. He began with a moderate run behind today's rival Shaman here in April but went from strength-to-strength subsequently, landing the French Derby and a Group 2 here before a brilliant run in the Arc behind Waldgeist and Enable. Shaman didn't win again but ran some fine races at the highest level and could provide the main threat. The filly Soudania didn't enjoy heavy going on her attempt at a five-timer here in October while Simona landed the Group 3 Prix Ebury at Saint-Cloud in March though she had a fitness advantage over Way To Paris, who could turn the tables and snatch a place.

13.35: SPINNING MEMORIES (NAP) had some smart form at a high level including a close-up fourth in the Group 1 Prix Maurice De Gheest at Deauville in August behind three UK runners. She had a nice warm-up at Chantilly in March and this looks within her capabilities. Alzire ended her first campaign with a victory in a Listed contest at Saint-Cloud and has the potential to do better this season as does Wasmya, who completed a hat-trick before finding Group 1 company beyond her here in October. Cloud Surfing's only success came in a maiden at La Teste De Buche so she'll need to raise her game but Dathanna, four times a winner for Charlie Appleby in the UK, made a successful debut for her new yard at Clairefontaine in October before narrowly beaten in a Listed contest at Saint-Cloud.

14.05: LOONA SPIGAO hadn't shown much before ploughing through the mud at Compiegne for an easy victory so further easing of the ground will be to her advantage. She doesn't look to have much more to do and can complete a double. Dragon Love ran poorly at Chantilly last time but Soumillon was on board when he finished runner-up there earlier while Wyomia Jasmin, who has changed stables twice, did better when placed at Angouleme in March and will enjoy the conditions. History Chop, a winner on the all-weather at Deauville in December, is inconsistent but capable of getting into contention at his best. Dirty Dozen looks best of the remainder.

14.35: Andrea Doria was claimed after finishing third at Marseille in December and made a winning start for new connections back there on Boxing Day. She's moved yards again and should get into the money. Lady Arkadina is also claiming class and not the most consistent of performers but has managed to win twice so can't be discounted. MISTER MARIO is 0-18 but better on Turf than the all-weather and the fact that Barzalona, who was on board when he fell at Chantilly last time, hangs around to ride him here could be significant. Where Is Charlie is 0-31 but could still be good enough to get into contention in a very moderate handicap.
