£9062.50 raised in Go Racing In Yorkshire Summer Festival Tipping Challenge

Housewives' favourite Oli Bell led home an ITV one-two in the Sky Bet Go Racing In Yorkshire Summer Festival Tipping Challenge.

The former boxer (0-1) seemingly had a system of picking a horse with a quirky name in the first race each day and it came up trumps with 33/1 shot Raypeteafterme winning at Thirsk on Friday.

He was chased home by Ed Chamberlin who overcame a lamentably slow start to thunder home for second, somehow passing the heroic Sporting Life team on the way. They paid the price for doing their own selections, not picking fancy names and refusing to call round their contacts.

Competition veteran Jim McGrath posted a career-best fourth finish while Richard Fahey came out top of the trainers. Michael Shinners also competed.

A grand total of £9062.50 was raised for the Injured Jockeys Fund, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and New Beginnings.

Final leaderboard:

Oli Bell (£2246.67)

Ed Chamberlin (£1553.33)

Team Sporting Life: (£1397.50)

Jim McGrath (£1010.00)

Team Richard Fahey (£999.17)

Team Mark Johnston (£652.50):
