The Chad Brown-trained Uni flew late to claim the TVG Breeders' Cup Mile, leading home a one-two for the fillies at Santa Anita.
Brown was on target on the turf on Future Stars Friday through Structor and doubled his tally for the weekend as Uni justified being supplemented into the $2 million contest.
Joel Rosario was in the saddle and had the five-year-old near the back of the field through the early stages before creeping closer at the end of the back straight.
By the time they circled for home Uni had swept around the outside to mount a challenge and while stalked him fellow filly Got Stormy, the winner had too much speed and scored cosily.
Former John Gosden representative Without Parole, having his first run for Brown, stuck to the task well and came out on top in a photo for third with Aidan O'Brien's Circus Maximus, who briefly threatened to get into the picture but lacked tactical speed at the top of the short home straight.

O'Brien said of Circus Maximus: "He was a little bit slow into his stride, and then was beaten on the bob for third, but I was pleased with his run. He's run a solid race."
Richard Fahey said of Royal Ascot winner Space Traveller: "I think it was all a little bit too much for him, he plugged on at the end. I wouldn't rule out bringing him to the States again, as he is a three-year-old with his future in front of him."
It was a double on the card for Rosario after his victory on Covfefe in the Filly & Mare Sprint.
"She's a remarkable little horse," said Brown.
"She's got the best turn of foot I've ever trained. The last quarter, I don't think I've had a horse like her."
