Hugh Bowman will miss the ride on star Australian mare Winx's planned reappearance next month after being given a suspension at Ellerslie in New Zealand on Saturday.
Winx is on a 22-race winning streak that stretches back to May 2015 and Bowman has been in the plate for 20 of those victories.
However, Chris Waller's six-year-old will have a new partner on her scheduled return in the Apollo Stakes on February 17 after Bowman was banned for careless riding.
That suspension comes on top of another ban incurred at Warwick Farm the previous day, meaning Bowman will be sidelined for a total of 19 days from February 4 to 22.
Bowman told www.dailytelegraph.com.au: "I won't be appealing it and I expect her (Winx) to start as planned on the 17th and I won't be riding her, which will be a strange experience.
"I don't know who will be next in line but Chris will work something out."
