Seemingly rejuvenated since joining Nigel Twiston-Davies, BIGBADJOHN ticks all six highlighted trends and will bid to become the third winner since 2013 to follow up his recent course success in the Desert Orchid Chase. He has only gone up 2lb for that latest victory and arrives here at the top of his game.
Both Fingerontheswitch and Aunty Ann also come out well on the trends, both arriving here on the back of a recent victory. The last five winners had won last-time-out, during October.
Paul Nicholls has to be respected, having saddled four winners in the past decade, and he runs three this year, including last year’s winner Present Man.
Bettrends verdict:
- BIGBADJOHN
- FINGERONTHESWITCH
