A 10 pence 10-fold yielded an unexpected dividend for one Sky Bet customer on Monday night as all selections won, returning at 12,000/1!
It may sound like a throwaway bet, a bit of fun for a Monday evening, but it turned into a Magic Monday in a matter of hours for one inspired punter.
The bet was placed on 10 consecutive races in the United States of America across four courses.
Twofreeknights got the ball rolling at Finger Lakes, to be followed in the next 10 minutes by Queen Concerto and Hurricane Harold at Thistledown and Delaware Park respectively.
By the time that Morning Monster obliged at Zia Park just an hour after the first race, the excitement and tension must have been mounting as the aptly-named Cali Dream went to post for the 7.40 at Thistledown and Robert Gorham's charge didn't disappoint, racing on the pace before asserting readily.
The winning bet returned £1,208.52.
Sky Bet spokesman Michael Shinners said: "That's a fantastic performance by any stretch and we'd all be delighted if we could turn 10p into over £1,200 any day of the week.
"To do so in a little over an hour on 10 consecutive races is the stuff that dreams are made of."
