Our weekend best bets podcast includes a look back at a frenetic week in football and Classic trials in racing, before we reveal our selections for Saturday and Sunday.

First, racing duo Ben Linfoot and Matt Brocklebank reflect on the first Classics of the season at Newmarket plus some Classic trials at Chester.

After picking out their horses to follow over the coming weeks, they turn their attention to Saturday with Ben heading to Ascot and Matt to Nottingham for their strongest fancies.

Then it's time for Paul Higham and George Pitts to look back on two stunning Champions League semi-finals, as Liverpool and Spurs set up a mouthwatering final in Madrid.

Liverpool's immediate focus, though, is on Sunday and the conclusion of the Premier League and so is ours with recommended bets around the grounds.
