WATCH: Philadelphia Eagles bring back Philly Special trick play from Super Bowl victory

The Philadelphia Eagles won their first game as Super Bowl champions thanks to their famed ‘Philly Special’ trick play that helped them beat the New England Patriots in February.

Philadelphia beat the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday night thanks in part to the trick play that saw quarterback Nick Foles on the receiving end of a 15-yard pass from wide receiver Nelson Agholor.

The play sparked an otherwise struggling offence in to life and sent the Lincoln Financial Field crowd wild.

Philly Special lights up the Super Bowl

Every NFL fan had seen that play before of course….

The Eagles shocked the world with one of the biggest trick plays ever seen in the Super Bowl as coach Doug Pederson dialled up what was known as the Philly Special in Minnesota.

Quarterback Nick Foles handed the ball off as usual, but then scampered into the end zone to haul in the touchdown pass as the New England Patriots defence was chasing shadows.
