Kansas City Chiefs @ LA Rams betting preview: Predictions, best bets & latest NFL odds for big game in Los Angeles

It's the biggest game of the season so far in the NFL as the high-flying Chiefs and Rams collide in LA in what many people believe could be a Super Bowl rehearsal.

Kansas City Chiefs (9-1) @ LA Rams (9-1) 0115 GMT

The NFL season is really hotting up and Monday night sees the biggest game of the season so far as two of the best teams in the league collide in Los Angeles with the Rams hosting the Kansas City Chiefs.

Both teams are 9/1, both teams are favourites to win their respective division meaning this could well be a dress rehearsal for the Super Bowl in February.

Of course, it rarely works out that the two best teams at this stage get all the way to the big game, and there are a few teams such as the Saints and Patriots who’ll have a thing to say about it, but as of right now this is the most eagerly anticipated game of the season so far.

The game was due to be played in Mexico but moved back to LA due to an unplayable pitch at the Azteca Stadium, and that home field advantage is reflected in the Rams being 3.5 point favourites as they’re unbeaten at home this season.

Having two star-studded offensive powers colliding is another major factor behind the hype of the game – the Chiefs are second in the league with 35.3 points per game and the Rams are just two points worse in their scoring ratio.

The two young quarterbacks are also similar with Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes leading the league with 31 touchdowns and 3,150 yards – while Rams counterpart Jared Goff is just behind him with 3,134 yards.

Both teams are littered with talented playmakers, led by Rams running back Todd Gurley, who is having an MVP-calibre season, as a touchdown machine with 17 scores already this campaign.

The likes of Kareem Hunt and Tyreek Hill have also been putting up some gaudy numbers for Kansas City and, with both defences being of the middling variety, there should be a feast of points on the menu.

Although there’s little between the numbers on defence, the Rams have showed up at crucial times to win them games – particularly against Green Bay and Seattle recently while they’ve won five one-score games showing they can survive in a close one.

The Chiefs have mainly blown teams away and, although they’ll be right at home in a shootout, the extra quality in the Rams defence – mainly NFL sack leader Aaron Donald, could just pop up with the vital play needed to get the job done.

Verdict: LA Rams (-3.5) to win at Evens

Touchdowns: Todd Gurley to score a brace at 6/5

RequestABet: Over 59 pts, Gurley, Hunt & Kelce to score, Gurley & Hunt to have 100 scrimmage yards at 9/1.
