Outgoing Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted that leaving the club in the summer was 'not really my decision'.
The 68-year-old arrived at Highbury in August 1996 and won three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups - including doubles in 1998 and 2002.
Wenger signed a two-year deal last summer after winning the FA Cup but fans were still divided on him after they finished fifth in the Premier League - the first time Wenger had failed to secure a top four finish in his entire tenure at Arsenal.
This season, Arsenal are struggling again to keep up with the top four as they sit in sixth, with their only chance of a return to Champions League football coming if they can win the Europa League.
Former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique is one of the favourites to succeed Wenger at the Emirates.
On the Spaniard, Wenger said: "I don't want to influence the next manager, but of course I have a high opinion of Luis Enrique."

Wenger, who revealed Sir Alex Ferguson called him on Tuesday, added: "Is there a perfect goodbye? I don't know. I just want to do as well as I can.
"This group of players deserve something special and I want to do it for them, to achieve something with them. My biggest satisfaction would be to be successful with the players we have."
Striker Danny Welbeck, who played under Ferguson at Manchester United, was sat alongside Wenger at the press conference.
"I've been fortunate enough to work under two giants of the game," he said. "I'm the mutual friend that put them in touch!"
On why he was going now rather than at the end of his deal, the Frenchman added: "The timing was not really my decision."
