Brighton earned their first ever league point against Chelsea with a 1-1 draw on New Year's Day.
Cesar Azpilicueta's close range finish gave Chelsea an early lead, but the hosts grew into the contest and enjoyed the better of the second-half chances.
With time running out, Alireza Jahanbakhsh stepped up to score a spectacular equaliser in the 84th minute.
From a corner, Chelsea looked to clear their lines from a corner. However, Lewis Dunk won the initial header and directed the ball into the path of the substitute.
It fell behind him, but with his back to goal he unleashed a remarkable effort that flew over a crowded box and into the far corner.
