Norwich substitute Jordan Rhodes rescued a point from a 1-1 draw with promotion rivals West Brom at the Hawthorns and Middlesbrough consolidated their play-off spot with a hard-earned 2-1 away success at Birmingham.
Nathan Jones' reign at Stoke started in disappointing fashion, losing 3-1 at Brentford.

Sky Bet League One

Sunderland and Luton shared the points in a 1-1 draw at the Stadium of Light in the big game of the day in Sky Bet League One as both teams ended the match with 10 men.
It meant Portsmouth's lead at the top of the table was trimmed to just four points, despite Pompey losing 1-0 at home against Blackpool. Chris Long's 74th-minute goal settled the game at Fratton Park.

Nine-man Lincoln saw their League Two lead trimmed to three points after they blew a two-goal lead in a dramatic 2-2 draw at Swindon.
Bury leapfrogged MK Dons into second place, three off Lincoln after storming back from a 3-1 deficit to overcome their promotion rivals in a seven-goal thriller at Gigg Lane to win 4-3.
