New Group Bets format: The Sporting Life team give their Saturday selections for their Group Bet

Take a look at the individual selections from the Sporting Life team as they come into the second week of their Group Bet campaign, a new way to bet on football at Sky Bet.

Our football team have set up their own group, after Sky Bet launched their new initiative of Group Bets. All you have to do is set up a group and invite your friends to get yourself prepared, before building an accumulator together with this brand new way to bet.

Once all group players have chipped in with their selection, you can choose whether you want to back it as an accumulator or take out a leg of the bet, in case you think one of your mates has thrown in a dodgy choice.

You can track the action as the play is unfolding and monitor individual performance for your group over a period of time to find out who knows their stuff out of your friends, and who cannot buy a win.

Last Week:

Week one saw two people let the side down, myself included unfortunately. My selection was Wigan, who failed to score against Reading in a goalless draw, while Paul’s pick Brighton drew with Leicester, despite being a goal to the good when Claude Puel’s men were reduced to 10-men, I say no more…

Here are the current standings from week one, with Chris Hammer joining us this week to give his verdict on his individual selection:

1. George Pitts: W

2. Tom Carnduff: W

3. Billy Lumsden: L

4. Paul Higham: L

Billy Lumsden: Derby (to beat Swansea) – 10/11

The Rams have only lost two of their nine home Sky Bet Championship matches this season, racking up five wins and two draws at Pride Park too. Their recent form is similar, as they have only lost twice in nine matches, even though they have both come within the last three games, to Aston Villa and then Stoke midweek. Swansea have the solitary win from their last six away matches, while losing their last two, conceding xix goals in that time too. I think this is the ideal game to get my form guide up and running.

Tom Carnduff: Nottingham Forest (to beat Ipswich) – 8/13

Forest are unbeaten in their last six games and scored five in a remarkable draw at Villa Park last time out. Ipswich have just one win to their name and have lost five of their last seven games, which has left the Tractor Boys six points adrift at the bottom. Lewis Grabban has seven in as many league matches for Aitor Karanka’s side, so expect him to register on the scoresheet along with a few others as they face Paul Lambert’s team.

George Pitts: Leicester and Watford (BTTS) – 4/6

It's ninth versus tenth and another tough one to call. Leicester’s shining star this season has been their summer signing James Maddison, who served his red card suspension midweek in the EFL Cup, so the feeling is that the Foxes will make the home advantage count. It promises to be an entertaining clash and the preference is to go with goals rather than result. Watford have kept just one clean sheet in their last 12 away Premier League games (W2 D2 L8) and the belief is both teams will get on the score sheet.

Chris Hammer: Bolton (to beat Wigan) – 2/1

Bolton at 2/1 to beat Wigan is too good a price to ignore. Not because the Trotters are in any kind of form – they’ve lost seven of their last 10 and won just once – but because Wigan are so dreadful away from home! The Latics have lost their last four on the road and seven of their last eight, with just the solitary victory. This is a golden opportunity for Bolton to start a revival, even if it proves to be just a false dawn. Scoring – rather than being slack at the back – is their main weakness but Wigan have conceded 12 in those last four away defeats.

FOUR-FOLD ODDS: 14.42/1 with Sky Bet
