Hibernian beat second-placed Aberdeen 2-0 at Easter Road to secure their third Ladbrokes Premiership win in a row.

The victory for Neil Lennon's side moved them within two points of third-placed Rangers, but the Light Blues can close the gap to Aberdeen to just one point if they win at Hamilton on Sunday.

Rangers are the odds-on favourites at 2/5 with Sky Bet to beat Hamilton.

Martin Boyle headed Hibs in front a minute into the second period after Dons goalkeeper Freddie Woodman had saved Jamie MacLaren's effort, and Swiss forward Florian Kamberi volleyed in the second on the hour mark from close range.

Celtic can now stretch their lead at the top of the table to 11 points if they beat St Johnstone on Sunday.

Sky Bet make Celtic odds-on at 2/11 to get the better of St Johnstone.

Kilmarnock recorded a third consecutive victory as they leapfrogged Motherwell into sixth place with a 1-0 win at Fir Park.

Stephen O'Donnell scored the decisive goal in the 34th minute after seizing on a loose pass and driving home.

Jason Naismith rescued a point for bottom side Ross County as they drew 1-1 at home to Hearts in the lunchtime kick-off.

Kyle Lafferty had given the Edinburgh side a 53rd-minute lead with a free-kick but Naismith equalised for County with 14 minutes to go.

County cut the gap to second-bottom Hamilton to two points with this result.

In the day's other game, Dundee moved four points clear of 10th-placed Partick Thistle as a late Simon Murray brace earned a 2-1 win at Firhill.

Conor Sammon had put the Jags in front three minutes before half-time.
