Chelsea find themselves as the 15/8 favourites to sign Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel this summer.
The 31-year-old has been a constant source of speculation with a number of Europe's elite clubs being linked with a move.
Schmeichel starred for Denmark at this summer's World Cup as they were knocked out on penalties by Croatia at the round of 16 stage.
Reports emerged on Wednesday morning linking Chelsea's current first-choice stopper Thibaut Courtois with a move to La Liga giants Real Madrid.
The Spanish outfit are rumoured to have reached an agreement worth £31m to bring the Belgian international to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Schmeichel moved to Leicester from Leeds United back in 2011 for a bargain £1m fee.
He has since gone onto win the Premier League title in 2016, with Leicester starting that campaign as 5000/1 longshots.
Liverpool are the odds-on favourites to sign Brazil and Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker - with reports on Tuesday saying that the Reds had submitted a bid.
Chelsea are rumoured to also hold an interest, but Schmeichel could be seen as a solid alternative if they finish second in the race.
