Premier League Request-A-Bet weekend vitals: Which weekend wager will you choose?

We take a look at some of the potential Saturday selections, in accordance with the goals, cards and corners count as we head into matchday 16.

With a busy Festive period ahead of us, now is the time to brush up on all the key stats concerning the 20 Premier League sides.

Having done just that, Billy Lumsden dissects the markets to unveil his best bets for the coming weekend of Premier League action:

  • West Ham have enjoyed consecutive wins, coming against Newcastle and Cardiff respectively. They have scored three in each of their last two and face a Crystal Palace side who have failed to score in seven of their 15 Premier League games, while they have shed two or more goals in eight games this campaign. Manuel Pellegrini's side seem to be finding their groove with only loss in six (to Manchester City) and there may be more goals in this.
Best Bet: West Ham to win and over 2.5 goals in the match: 5/2 with Sky Bet
  • Brighton have racked up eight yellow cards and two reds in their last four Premier League fixtures, with Shane Duffy the last to be dismissed for Chris Hughton's team in their 3-1 victory over rivals Crystal Palace. They face off with a Burnley side who were criticised for their tough tackling by Jurgen Klopp, so this game could see a vast amount of booking points. Brighton have played four games in a row where there has been a player sent off, two for them, one for Huddersfield and one for Leicester. Could it be five in a row on Saturday? To be on the safe side, booking points are a worthy consideration and this bet in particular has great value.
Best Bet- 20+ booking points for each team: 2/1
  • Manchester City possess the power to score at their will, recording 45 goals already, averaging exactly three goals per game. However, their defence is just as valuable too, as the Citizens have conceded just seven goals this season (only bettered by Liverpool), keeping 10 clean sheets in the process. It will be a tight affair on Saturday evening as they take on Maurizio Sarri's Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, which is why this is a good route to venture down.
Best Bet- Manchester City to win and under 2.5 goals in the match: 4/1

Other notable options:

  • Bournemouth v Liverpool
Best Bet- Bournemouth to score 2+ goals and 5+ Bournemouth corners: 11/2 with Sky Bet
  • Arsenal v Huddersfield
Best Bet- 9+ Arsenal corners and 30+ Huddersfield booking points: 8/1
  • Cardiff v Southampton
Best Bet- Southampton to win, over 2.5 goals and 4+ corners each team: 15/2
  • Manchester United v Fulham
Best Bet- Manchester Utd to win, BTTS, 12+ match corners and 50+ match booking points: 18/1
  • Leicester v Tottenham
Best Bet- Christian Eriksen to score from outside the area: 12/1
  • Newcastle v Wolves
Best Bet- Ayoze Perez and Ruben Neves 1+ shots on target each: 11/4
  • Everton v Watford
Everton to win to nil: 2/1
