Liverpool ran out emphatic 5-0 winners over Napoli in Dublin as Alisson Becker made his debut in a game only marred by James Milner's head injury.
Milner scored the opening goal in an impressive Liverpool run-out at the Aviva Stadium, but later left the field after a clash of heads with Mario Rui.
Jurgen Klopp confirmed that Milner will require 15 stitches in the head wound that marred an otherwise excellent pre-season outing against the Serie A side.
“I knew that he would get stitches because we saw it on the pitch. He’s in the dressing room so I have to see him first before I can say more,” Klopp told the club's website.
“That’s obviously the big shadow over that game.”

Milner and Georginio Wijnaldum put Liverpool 2-0 inside the first ten minutes, and there could have been more goals before Mohamed Salah got his goal just before the hour mark.
Daniel Sturridge and Alberto Moreno added the final two goals as Klopp's side showed they retain their free-scoring style from last season.
The world's most expensive goalkeeper Alisson enjoyed a trouble-free debut for Liverpool, making only a couple of saves and looking more than comfortable with the ball at his feet.
