I'm A Celebrity 2018 odds: Former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp 12/1 to win

Harry Redknapp has been Price Boosted to 12/1 to win I’m A Celebrity 2018.

The former Tottenham, West Ham and Portsmouth manager will begin his adventure in the Australian jungle this weekend, with the ITV series getting underway on Sunday evening.

The 71-year-old admits he has ‘no idea what I’m in for’ after never watching the long-running programme and does not know what he is scared of.

He says he is looking forward to the adventure, brings ‘experience’ and is good at ‘keeping people together’.

He will be joined by the likes of Noel Edmonds, James Mcvey – the current favourite – actor John Barrowman and Nick Knowles.

Redknapp can be backed with Sky Bet to be the top male contestant at 6/1, with 11/4 odds available on him to do the first Bushtucker Trial.

What they say about Redknapp in the jungle

Jamie Redknapp (via The Sun):

“Dad hasn’t really got any phobias, to be honest. As a kid he was never worried about spiders. I’m worried about him with the shower scene in his pants! I hope he finds a mate in there because from people I’ve spoken to the hardest things are lack of food, but he doesn’t eat a lot my dad so that’s gonna help him, and secondly it’s the boredom factor, there’s no racing channel for him to watch.

“I read that he was doing it, so I went to him, ‘What’s going on? You’re doing the jungle?’ He said, ‘I didn’t want to tell you. You’ll tell me off.’

“He went, ‘You know what I just fancy it. I need something to talk about and I’ve always fancied that one'. Then I saw Graham Souness on Saturday and he went, ‘Dad’s doing that? I’d like to do that.’ Imagine Souness in there they’d all run away from Souness wouldn’t they, all the animals.”

Neil Ruddock (via the Sportsman):

“Harry gets on with everyone, but Harry can snap. “Harry as a manager is your best mate and your worst enemy. If you do something wrong, he is on you. The way that people stand there and look at you, winding you up. What they do is they make you hungry and tired, and when you are hungry and tired it is when they become their most aggressive. You lose it and you want to argue with everyone. So I can see Harry snapping and really having a go at people, which will be hilarious for telly.”
