Salomon Rondon – Newcastle: The Venezuelan international is thought to have a £16.5m release clause that Rafa Benitez will meet in order to sign him as a replacement for the outgoing Aleksandar Mitrovic. Dwight Gayle could be heading in the opposite direction as part of the deal.

Aleksandar Mitrovic - Fulham: The update to the situation is that Mitrovic is now in London to finalise his move from Newcastle to Fulham in a deal that could rise up to £27m with add-ons. The 22-year-old scored 12 goals in 17 games for the Cottagers to help fire them into the Premier League and the club were always keen to keep the Serbian at Craven Cottage.

Alfie Mawson – Fulham: Fulham are busy as they are also in advanced talks for Swansea centre back Mawson to join the Premier League newcomers, as they get closer to matching the Welsh side’s £20m valuation. Burnley and West Ham have now backed out of the running for the defender, who is still getting his way back to full fitness following knee surgery.

Leon Bailey – Roma: Bayer Leverkusen man Bailey is a man in demand and now, along with several interested parties in the Premier League, Serie A side Roma are in the hunt, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. Roma lost out on Malcolm to Barcelona and they see Bailey as the ideal replacement.

George Evans – Derby: Reading’s George Evans has turned down the attentions of Sunderland in favour of a move to Frank Lampard’s Derby County. A fee of £1m has reportedly been agreed between the two teams for the 23-year-old as a transfer moves closer to completion.

Olivier Giroud – Marseille: One of the more far-fetched rumours doing the rounds in Europe comes from L’Equipe who say Marseille are weighing up a bid to test Chelsea’s resolve to keep him. Alvaro Morata has improved his displays in pre-season which could see him retain a starting spot ahead of the World Cup winner.

Ben Woodburn - Aston Villa: Liverpool youngster Ben Woodburn it still highly regarded at Anfield but Jurgen Klopp is thinking about sending him out on loan again before he gets a regular first team chance. Championship side Aston Villa are thought to be leading the chase to sign the Wales international on a season-long loan, with Wigan and Sheffield United also interested.

Divock Origi - Watford: Staying with Liverpool and their Belgian striker Origi appears to be out of favour and the club are willing to sell him for around £26m. Watford are keen but do not want to splash out that fee without viewing him in action so want a loan deal with the option of making it permanent.

Domagoj Vida - West Ham: Croatian centre back Vida has been linked with moves to both Liverpool and Everton, but it's big-spending West Ham that are now in the race for the 29-year-old Besiktas man, with local outlet Fanatik saying the Hammers are set to make an improved bid to head of interest from Monaco.
