Tottenham say England striker Harry Kane has suffered lateral ankle ligament damage and should return to training next month.
Initial tests on Kane’s injured ankle have revealed lateral ligament damage which will see him back in training next month.
Kane limped out of Tottenham’s 4-1 win at Bournemouth with a worrying ankle injury, but the first assessment of Kane say the injury is not as bad as many feared.
A scan to establish a clearer picture of the full extent of his injury had been delayed because of swelling around the joint, but now the club have confirmed ligament damage.

It will still be a big blow for Spurs to have to do without their top scorer as they continue their push for the top four and pursuit of the FA Cup.
Disappointing to be out until next month but injuries are part of the game. Will do everything I can to get back out there asap. 💪 pic.twitter.com/sznSx6C5Kl

Mauricio Pochettino takes his side to Swansea on Saturday in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup but will have to do without Kane for that and at least the following Premier League game at Chelsea.
Kane will also sit out England's two upcoming friendlies against the Netherlands and Italy next week as Gareth Southgate will have to look at other options in attack.
Despite concerns over how long Kane may be out of consideration for, with the World Cup just three months away, his previous ankle problems were of differing severity and time-frames for recovery.
The first one kept the forward out for 10 games, but Kane was able to return within a month of the second injury.
