Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus face AC Milan in Turin for a place in the Coppa Italia final as Italian football returns.
There was no Aaron Ramsey in the Juventus squad as rumours circulated that he was up for sale, but Cristiano Ronaldo started, and was involved in the real moment of note in the entire game.
Ronaldo scored a last-minute penalty in Milan in February to score the away goal that proved crucial in the end, even if he missed another spot-kick seconds before Milan were reduced to ten men.
Just 15 minutes into the return of Italian football, and all hell broke loose as first Juventus were given a penalty after a VAR review.
Ronaldo then stepped up and hit the post with his spot-kick, and immediately from the rebound, Ante Rebic saw red for a wild leaping kung fu kick on Danilo.
😲 Well, this is quite a few seconds in the #CoppaItalia

That was basically that, as ten-man Milan couldn't get a serious blow in and it was just a case of whether Juve would add a goal or see-out the draw that would send them through on away goals.
After a 1-1 draw in the first leg, the final whistle saw Juventus through to their 19th Coppa Italia final - with Ronaldo's late successful penalty in the first leg effectively doing the damage.
Maurizio Sarri's Juventus will now face either Napoli or Inter, who play on Saturday night in the other semi-final.
