Premier League title-winner Chris Sutton has said he would rather have Heung-Min Son in his side than Manchester United superstar Alexis Sanchez.
South Korean forward Son is in a rich vein of form, scoring in four successive games - totalling seven goals in that run - for Tottenham, to take his tally for the season to 18.
His double on Sunday helped Spurs come from behind to win 4-1 at Bournemouth, after injury forced Harry Kane off the field in the first half at the Vitality.
Meanwhile, Sanchez has scored just once since his January transfer to Manchester United from Arsenal and the Chilean is yet to reach the performance levels which he is capable of.
Football pundit Sutton, formerly a striker for the likes of Blackburn, Chelsea and Celtic, says Son’s attitude and application is exemplary compared to Sanchez’s ‘moody and sulky figure when he does not get his way’.
Writing in his column for Mail Online, Sutton said: “If I was a Premier League manager, I would take Son Heung-min over Alexis Sanchez every day of the week.
“We talk about how influential Harry Kane is for Tottenham but Son is the next best thing. He has energised Mauricio Pochettino's team.
“Everything he does is with a huge smile on his face. Contrast this with Sanchez, who often cuts a moody and sulky figure when he does not get his way.
“Think of the aggravation he gave Arsenal before his move to Manchester United. There is no such hassle with Son.
“Pochettino has asked him to play in a number of different positions but he gives Spurs everything regardless.
“He is the model professional in every respect. Tottenham fell behind at Bournemouth and Kane went off injured, but Son put in a fine performance as a central striker.
“We are yet to see such a match-winning display from £600,000-a-week Sanchez at Old Trafford.
“Son has scored seven goals in his last four games while the Chilean has found the net just once in nine for United. It is clear to see which manager is getting the better value for money.”
