Newcastle defender Paul Dummett has returned to the Wales squad after ending his international exile.
Dummett told previous Wales manager Chris Coleman in May 2017 that he wanted to focus on his club career and he re-iterated that message to current boss Ryan Giggs at the start of this year.
But 26-year-old Dummett, who has won two caps, said earlier this month that he was keen to play for Wales again and Giggs has named him in his squad for the UEFA League of Nations games against the Republic of Ireland and Denmark.
Skipper Ashley Williams has also been named in the 25-man squad despite problems at club level, which has seen the 34-year-old defender sent off on two of his last three starts.
Chelsea defender Ethan Ampadu and Leeds striker Tyler Roberts are both included.
Giggs will be without Hal Robson-Kanu, who has announced his decision to retire from international football after a 44-cap career.
"I spoke to him yesterday and it was a difficult decision for him," Giggs said.
"He's had a difficult six months, with the birth of his baby, and he wants to focus on his family and his club career.
"He's an icon in Welsh football with the goal he scored against Belgium and I wish him all the best."
