Ross County have appointed Owen Coyle as their new manager on a two-year contract.
County sacked Jim McIntyre on Monday after a poor start to the season where they won one of their opening seven fixtures, leaving them third-bottom in the Scottish Premiership table.
Coyle will start with immediate effect and Sandy Stewart comes on board as assistant manager.
The 51-year-old, who had a three-month loan spell at Ross County during his playing days, has been without a job since he was sacked by Blackburn Rovers in February.
County are 9/2 with Sky Bet to finish bottom of the Scottish Premiership. That's behind Kilmarnock (15/8), Partick Thistle (100/30) and Hamilton (4/1) in the odds.
Coyle led Burnley to promotion to Premier League in 2009. He has also previously managed Bolton Wanderers, Houston Dynamo and Wigan Athletic as well as Scottish sides St Johnstone and Falkirk.
Ross County travel to Kilmarnock on Saturday for Coyle's first game in charge.
