Champions League quarter-final draw: Manchester City to face Tottenham

Tottenham were drawn against Manchester City in the only all-English Champions League quarter-final, with Liverpool pulling out Porto and Man Utd to face Barcelona.

Surprise package Ajax were first out of the hat and they've been drawn against Italian giants Juventus, who came from behind to beat Atletico Madrid inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo.

Jurgen Klopp's Reds pulled out what many will feel is one of the two best possible ties when they were paired with Porto, while the all-Premier League battle takes place between Tottenham and Manchester City.

Manchester City won both of their Premier League ties with Tottenham last season and also beat Mauricio Pochettino's side at Wembley earlier in this campaign.

Manchester United's reward for dumping PSG out of the Champions League is a tie against Lionel Messi and Barcelona, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer returning to the Nou Camp - the scene of his and United's memorable final victory over Bayern Munich 20 years ago this year.

Champions League semi-finals set

The Champions League semi-finals were also drawn out at the same ceremony, with the potential for some huge games here also.

The winners of Man City against Spurs will most likely face Juventus, unless Ajax can pull off another huge upset after knocking Real Madrid out in the last round.

Should Liverpool manage to beat Porto, it'll be a massive semi-final regardless of who wins out of Barcelona or Man Utd, with that set to be a huge tie to settle who goes to the final in Madrid in June.

Champions League semi-final draw

  • Tottenham/Manchester City v Ajax/Juventus
  • Manchester United/Barcelona v Liverpool/Porto

The first leg of the semi-finals will be played on April 30 and May 1 and the return legs are scheduled for May 7 and 8.

The final will take place in Spain at Atletico Madrid's Wanda Metropolitano Stadium on Saturday June 1.
