Australian sensation Corey Cadby will return to the UK in November in a bid to defend his PDC Unicorn World Youth Championship title.
The 22-year-old justified his tag as one of the hottest prospects in the world of darts when claiming the 2016 youth crown with a 6-2 victory over Berry van Peer at the Butlins Minehead Resort - and that result came as little to surprise to those who had seen him dismantle Phil Taylor by the same score at the Perth Darts Masters.
Cadby, who opted to remain in Australia with the DPA rather than join the PDC tour, reminded everyone of his talents during this year's World Series of Darts events as he defeated Peter Wright, Michael Smith and Taylor once again en route to finishing runner-up in Auckland while Raymond van Barneveld was his victim in Melbourne before the Power gained revenge in a final-leg decider.
The Tasmanian will therefore be highly fancied to again claim glory at the World Youth Championship, which begins with the last 64 on Monday November 6 and concludes on Sunday November 26 with the final that is screened live on ITV4 during the Players Championship Finals in Minehead.
His main rivals will be former champion Max Hopp, who won the German qualifying event, and Dutch star Benito van de Pas, who qualifies as an eligible player inside the top 32 of the PDC Order of Merit.
There will be 47 more players to join the current list of qualifiers:
