Kolkata Knight Riders v Gujarat Titans

  • Date: 15:00 (SAT)
  • Venue: Eden Gardens
  • TV: Sky Sports Cricket

Can anyone stop the GUJARAT TITANS train?

On what we've seen over the last few weeks, with the Titans winning their last five in a variety of conditions, maybe they can't.

This is a side that has always promised much, with a top three featuring Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler, to a bowling attack led by Kagiso Rabada and Rashid Khan.

Rabada did this column a nice turn earlier in the week when his three wickets secured 11/10 and 9/2 winners for readers, but Eden Gardens on Saturday promises to be tougher work for the bowlers.

Still, hosts Kolkata Knight Riders saw their own winning run end when they were comfortably outpointed by Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Wednesday, and they look a level below the top sides.

The Titans are one of those top sides, and 4/5 for them to win again is fair.

Punjab Kings v Royal Challengers Bengaluru

  • Date: 11:00 (SUN)
  • Venue: Dharamsala
  • TV: Sky Sports Cricket

Dharamsala has delivered two excellent batting pitches so far, with over 400 runs scored in both matches and the chasing team winning on each occasion.

The new ball tends to do plenty here, but the surfaces generally flatten out and the boundaries aren't the hardest to clear.

One slight word of caution is that this is a day game, so the strong dew factor we can ordinarily expect in the second innings won't be as prevalent.

Perhaps betting the middle order could be the way to go in the top batsman markets, especially if the new ball does talk, but both sides boast excellent top orders.

In fact, Punjab Kings' batting remains their strength, with the bowling the main reason why they come into Sunday's clash with Royal Challengers Bengaluru on the back of five straight defeats.

With opener Virat Kohli leading the RCB batting unit and hot from a recent hundred, I'm struggling to find a way in here.

Delhi Capitals v Rajasthan Royals

  • Date: 15:00 (SUN)
  • Venue: Delhi
  • TV: Sky Sports Cricket

Despite being one of the smallest grounds in India, with a flat batting track that also lends itself to high scores, Delhi hasn't delivered for batters in the last few games.

The Capitals were restricted to just 142-8 here last time and 155-7 in their previous home match, that having been bowled out by Royal Challengers Bengaluru for just 75 in the game before that.

Just to muddy the waters a little, the fixture prior to that 75 all out saw Punjab Kings chase down 265 with ease, with only six wickets falling across the game.

Clearly, this is a ground for extremes, more often high than low, but more recently the trend has gone the other way.

One of the reasons for this has to be the Capitals' own inconsistencies with the bat, and Sunday's visitors Rajasthan Royals haven't been much better of late having lost three of their last four.

Like the Capitals, their batting is proving hard to catch right, so this has unders written all over it on what is likely to be a re-used surface.

Don't be afraid to chance those extremes, particularly in the first innings, but for now I'll advise backing NO FIRST INNINGS FIFTY at 7/2.

This isn't an easy market to get right, but the first innings is when batting has been toughest in Delhi, and neither of these line-ups inspire complete confidence.
