ITV7 from Royal Ascot and Hamilton: Ocean to boost the finances

There's £100,000 on offer in Wednesday's free-to-play ITV7 and Dave Smith has the guide you need for the crucial races from Royal Ascot and Hamilton.

14:30 Royal Ascot - Queen Mary Stakes (Fillies' Group 2) (Class 1)

Course form is an intrinsically important factor at Ascot and that gives FINAL SONG the nod. She's a course and distance winner on soft ground and likes to go from the front. The Wesley Ward-trained pair may be blunted by the cut in the ground and Godolphin are well represented other than the selection.

14:55 Hamilton - Sam Collingwood-Cameron Handicap (Class 5)

Any rain would somewhat blunt the chances of MR WAGYU but the forecast is for dry weather and therefore he's a strong fancy. He was a course and distance winner from 5lb above this mark and is 11lb below his very best form.

15:05 Royal Ascot - Queen's Vase (Group 2) (Class 1)

The last ten runnings of this race have seen five favourites go in and Aidan O'Brien responsible for five victories overall. Derby eighth place Norway is a strong contender but the soft ground form of JALMOUD could be key. He's a progressive, lightly-raced sort and can go well.

15:40 Royal Ascot - Prince Of Wales's Stakes (Group 1) (Class 1)

The showers forecast for Berkshire could be the key factor and with Sea of Class preferring a sounder surface the hammer has come down on CRYSTAL OCEAN who can see off the challenge of Magical but it promises to be an exhilarating contest.

16:20 Royal Ascot - Duke Of Cambridge Stakes (Fillies' Group 2) (Str) (Class 1)

A competitive affair can potentially go the way of the William Haggas' trained PRETTY BABY who has won five from her seven starts. She's tough under pressure, always seeming to have more fuel in the tank so gets the vote with soft ground form another positive.

17:00 Royal Ascot - Royal Hunt Cup (Heritage Handicap) (Str) (Class 2)

In what looks a typically difficult betting heat there are several for whom a case can be made. KING'S FIELD looks like he could have been aimed at this contest as he wasn't given a hard time at Naas last time so arrives potentially ahead of his handicap mark.

17:35 Royal Ascot - Windsor Castle Stakes (Listed) (Class 1)

The form of TEMPLE OF HEAVEN's victory at Newbury in May took a boost when the runner-up ran well in the Coventry on Tuesday and he gets the nod. Wesley Ward sends two runners over but they may want quicker ground and Southern Hills should progress from his first two starts.
