Well-bred Frankel colt who left debut behind to win Kempton novice 12 months ago. Beaten only by a smart prospect on belated return under a penalty there 31 days ago and rates a serious player on handicap bow with the prospect of more to come over this longer trip.
Highly tried since winning a Kempton novice on his return and hides no secrets from the handicapper as a result. Has been gelded since he was last seen at Royal Ascot.
Capped progressive juvenile season when landing the odds at Chester. Bettered that form when excellent fourth in Britannia at Royal Ascot on handicap debut but has found things harder at Newmarket and Glorious Goodwood since, not convincing with his stamina over this trip on the Sussex Downs.
Steadily progressive sort who landed a Sandown handicap in May. Runner-up 2 of next 3 starts, including when value for a bit extra (too much to do) upped to this trip at Windsor 23 days ago. Has the option of being ridden more positively now that his stamina is confirmed so can go well again.
Shaped like a stayer when getting off the mark at the third attempt in 1m Ffos Las maiden but didn't confirm that impression stepped up to this trip on handicap bow at Glorious Goodwood, though possibly in trouble too soon to blame the distance alone. Needs to improve to defy this mark, anyhow.
Placed 3 times in maidens for Mrs J. Harrington in Ireland, including when remote second at Fairyhouse on final start (subsequently sold for 68,000 gns). Struggled on his handicap bow on penultimate outing so he's easy enough to oppose.
Made hard work of landing the odds in maiden at Hamilton in June and didn't improve as expected for this longer trip when second at York on handicap debut the following month. Has since been gelded and headgear also applied.

Forecasts
Gavriel (5/4), Kahin (3/1), Law Court (7/2), Lion Of Alba (12/1), Dark Whisper (14/1), Now Maybe (16/1), Balzac (25/1)
A well bred and lightly-raced 3-y-o, GAVRIEL fits the typical profile of a Cambridgeshire contender from this yard, and a win here would provide a massive qualification boost for that upcoming target. Law Court remains on a steady upward curve and is a clear second choice.
