Tennent's Lager Handicap (GBBPlus Race)

C&D winner last summer and ran right up his best when second of 8 in handicap at Hamilton (9f, good) 15 days ago, not ideally placed. Has to enter calculations from the same mark.

Ended last season in great form, making it 4 wins from last 5 starts over C&D in October. Those victories came with plenty of give underfoot however so these conditions may not be ideal. Reappearance will have blown the cobwebs away.

Fairly useful novice winner (over 1m) for Ralph Beckett but has failed to beat a rival both starts for this yard.

Gained fifth win of a very productive 2026 at Chester a week ago, decisively. Wisely turned out under a 5 lb penalty and she'll take some stopping.

Had some quite useful Flat form in Ireland for previous stable but not in top form under either code for current yard.

Enjoyed a remarkable 2025, winning 6 times at up to 1¼m. Picked up where he'd left off when runner up at Musselburgh (9f) in April and while not in the same form both starts since, albeit he failed to stay 1½m at York latest.

Pair of Hamilton wins last summer but ended 2025 out of sorts and same story in recent weeks. Drops back in trip with plenty to prove.

Twenty-three runs since last win in 2024 but is down to a handy mark and found only one too good at Pontefract 17 days ago. Clearly needs everything to fall right, though.

Ended 2024 with a pair of all-weather wins. Unable to add to tally in 2024, though hit the frame on numerous occasions. Weighted to be competitive on reappearance.

Went the right way in 3 starts in Germany last year, opening account in 9f minor event at Cologne. Confirmed promise of his Hamilton run when successful back here 3 weeks ago, though he was seen to maximum effect.
