Course form figures (over 1m4f) read 1,2; still reasonably handicapped, and back to something like her peak form under this 7lb claimer at Thirsk (1m4f) latest - 3¾L fourth to the 40-1 winner The Rocket Park.
Based with Karl Burke when a game winner at Ayr (1m, good) last September; mainly poor since, including on two of his three starts for Ruth Carr; stamina in question at 1m1f+.
Won in the style of a progressive filly when shedding her maiden tag over C&D (Class 5) last week; should make light work of the incurred 6lb penalty; by far the likeliest winner.
Ex-Joseph O'Brien (previously a winner over 7f at Dundalk, and 1m at Bellewstown); has plummeted down the handicap - some 26lb or so - since joining Nigel Tinker; at least offered minor encouragement at Redcar latest.
Can only be viewed as regressive on the basis of what he has shown since the return from lockdown; was always in rear (33-1) when upped-in-trip at Yarmouth (1m3½f) three weeks ago; difficult to envisage a re-emergence.
Free-going seven-race maiden; was no match for the front pair when a distant third over C&D four weeks ago; 2lb lower in what is essentially a weaker race; probably there or thereabouts.
Never better than mid-division in three starts in novice company (7f-1m); switches to handicapping over a new trip sporting an added hood; his dam Speciosa won the 1000 Guineas for Pam Sly in 2006.
Unsurprisingly cut little ice in maidens, starting at odds of 250-1 at Pontefract (1m, good) in June; took minor honours (third) on Thirsk handicap debut, and that offers something positive to work upon; is set to tackle a new trip.
Still retains basic scope for improvement after making just five career starts; finished sixth of 11 to Puckle (runs in Div 1) over C&D last week; shouldn't be discounted as a possible place contender.
Forecasts
Hua Mulan (6/5), Araka Li (4/1), Vampish (7/1), Jupiter Road (8/1), Top Attraction (11/1), Provocation (14/1), William Alexander (20/1), Grouseman (25/1), Power Player (50/1)
With the exception of last week's decisive C&D winner HUA MULAN, there's probably not much to choose between the remainder. Keith Dalgleish's three-year-old filly won in the style of a most progressive horse (for the grade) and is fully expected to make light work of the incurred 6lb penalty. Araka Li and William Alexander are more tentative selections for the remaining places.
