Bated Breath gelding had tackled sprint trips in three of four maidens before running well in defeat on handicap debut over a similar trip at Leopardstown last month. Likely to be on the premises.
Brazen Beau filly out of a Stimulation mare. Cost 30,000gns as a foal. Not disgraced in three career starts so far and worth a check in the market on handicap debut.
Well-held on debut effort in February but took notable step forward when fourth of 14 as rank outsider at Dundalk over 1m in March. Can be forgiven effort on return to action at Gowran Park last month.
Running with great credit in a number of starts since racing resumed in June including a couple of solid efforts at Gowran Park and Limerick last month. Looks to be improving and merits plenty of respect.
Has failed to improve from promising return to action at Gowran Park in June, well beaten over a variety of trips. Still looking no nearer to breakthrough success.
10-race maiden but has produced a couple of eye-catching runs at Naas and Fairyhouse in the last month. Not to be taken lightly holding place claims.
13-race maiden. Well held fifth of nine on latest start at Sligo last month. Needs a chunk of improvement to play a role in this contest.
Filly in consistent form in five runs since racing resumed and continues to run well in defeat following a victory at Leopardstown over 7f last month off an 11lb lower mark. Rates a leading contender.
11-race maiden but was knocking on the door in a series of solid efforts towards the end of the season. Capable of improving on poor seasonal debut at Limerick over 1m last month.
Daughter of Worthadd out of a Desert Prince mare. Hints of progress on third career start on the AW at Dundalk in March but no realistic chance on what she has shown so far.
14-race maiden, without a success in 11 Flat starts on turf. Mixed messages in a number of runs back on track since racing resumed in June but could improve for first-time blinkers.
Never a threat in three career starts so far between September/October for trainer Paul Flynn. Down the field on both starts for current connections. Plenty to prove.
Forecasts
Ya Ya Baby (7/4), Sin E Shekells (5/1), Take My Hand (11/2), Cobb And Co (7/1), Dragon Of Malta (11/1), Ubume (12/1), Amelia Jane (12/1), Do The Twist (20/1), Mighty Mirage (22/1), Slade Express (40/1), Navorrosse (50/1), North Street (150/1)
The Denis Hogan-trained SIN E SHEKELLS can improve from his run at Leopardstown last month to land the spoils in the opener. The three-year-old has been rejuvenated by the step up in trip and can get off the mark at the sixth time of asking for connections. The Michael Mulvany yard are in good form right now and the handler can saddle Take My Hand to run well along with the Jessica Harrington-trained Ya Ya Baby and the solid and consistent Cobb And Co.
- Sin E Shekells
- Take My Hand
- Ya Ya Baby
