Stepped up in trip each time he's run he made short work of a modest bunch over 1m4f (Rowley Mile), travelled strongly, quickened clear, won 10L. Something to find on bare ratings but up in trip again looks to have more to offer at this level.
Below his useful 2yo form (won his first two starts at that age over 7f, one at Listed level) when third in first-time blinkers in Queen's Vase (14.2f, good/soft). Beaten by two stronger stayers it was his first run of the season in mitigation.
Of those with an official ratings he's at the bottom of the pile having only won a Chepstow maiden (1m2f, good). Struggled to handle the undulations (had shown that trait before), progress should be forthcoming but course a slight worry.
Steady improver, been suited by going up in trip, made the most of a good opportunity (odds-on favourite) at Limerick (1m4f, good/soft), won 12L (beat next time out winner). Far from exposed, this is tougher, hard to write off given his connections.
Useful performer, debut 1m 2yo winner, highly-tried ever since at Listed/Group level. Appeared unsuited by track in Lingfield Derby Trial behind English King, made running last time In King Edward VII Stakes (flattered by result), hood employed.
Good record as 2yo (2-3) only lost unbeaten record when upped to Group 3 (1m2f) level. Overcame plenty of adversity to score as favourite in Lingfield Oaks Trial, disappointed in Ribblesdale (Group 2) last time, ran flat after Lingfield exertions.

Forecasts
Dawn Rising (11/8), Al Aasy (3/1), Al Dabaran (4/1), Miss Yoda (7/1), Sound Of Cannons (14/1), West End Girl (16/1), Summeronsevenhills (20/1), Damage Control (25/1)
One or two of these look to be tilting at windmills with the likes of Damage Control, Sound Of Cannons and West End Girl all needing to make big strides to be competitive. There was talk of Al Aasy going for the Derby after his 10L demolition of an unexceptional bunch over 1m4f on the Rowley Mile but connections resisted the temptation and come here instead, he’ll have a major chance at this level for the first time. Al Dabaran, best of these on official ratings underwhelmed with his Ascot effort and its DAWN RISING who appeals the most. Still green last time when pummelling a subsequent winner by 12L he looks ready for this rise in class. Miss Yoda is also considered if over her Ascot flop.
