Not a particularly strong bumper on all known form and without the presence of any eye-catchingly unexposed runners, this probably rests between
LITTLE RORY MAC and
Mr Scrumpy (unless the market dictates otherwise). Both horses displayed promise on debut, and whilst neither piece of form has been sternly tested since, a marginal preference is for the Philip Hobbs-trained runner. He demonstrated signs of inexperience in chasing home Geordie B (Hereford), but assuming that he's equally effective going left-handed, he could well give 5lb claimer Sean Houlihan a winner on just his second ever ride at Hexham.
