No better than mid-division in a trio of maidens, but those have come at Leopardstown and the Curragh, and this Mastercraftsman filly is likely to be seen to better effect now handicapping at a lowly level.
Runner-up twice on turf this year for Luke McJannet (won 2-y-o AW seller for Tom Dascombe), and looks competitive on form on his debut for Adrian Keatley now. Tongue tie worn last time retained.
Not discredited in soft-ground handicaps on last few starts while giving the impression she is in the handicapper's grip for the present.
Didn't achieve a great deal in maidens, and failed to find any improvement on handicap debut at Galway (7f, heavy) last month. This is easier, but hard to make a case for him unless tongue tie has a dramatic effect.
16-race maiden, but handles conditions and shaped well when fifth at Killarney (1m) on most recent outing. Should be competitive again.
Best effort in maidens when mid-field over 7½f here on penultimate start, but fared no better on handicap debut at Galway early this month, and others look to have her measure again.
Has shown some ability in varied company, and possibly stretched by trip at Tramore (1½m) on latest outing. Cheekpieces back on in place of visor she wore there.
Well beaten in maidens, but showed improved form when fourth of 12 in 8.7f handicap at Cork in June. Claims if building on that effort after a 10-week break.
Visored when not beaten far in handicaps at Cork and Fairyhouse earlier in the summer, and claims if refinding that form, but below form on last two starts, with a hood tried to no great effect last time.
Nearer last than first in maidens at Dundalk so far, most recently making debut for current yard, and plenty to prove now handicapping in a first-time tongue tie.
No impact in various company as a juvenile, and returns from more than a year on the sidelines with a hood fitted. Others preferred.
Forecasts
Tennessee Rose (3/1), Bouquet Garni (9/2), D K Travel (5/1), Desert Dancer (6/1), Streisand (7/1), Cracking Name (8/1), Focus Well (12/1), Glenmoore (20/1), Eljaammi (25/1), Bella Rua (33/1), Frankie Cloud (33/1)
STREISAND has faced stiff tasks in maidens at the Curragh on both starts this year, and could well be a different proposition now tackling lesser rivals in a handicap, with her opening mark not looking burdensome. Tennessee Rose starts out for Adrian Keatley in a winnable race and merits respect, as does longstanding maiden Bouquet Garni, who is knocking on the door at present.
- Streisand
- Tennessee Rose
- Bouquet Garni
