Won a fillies handicap over 7f at Chelmsford three starts back, but hasn't built upon that back on turf since, and was slowly away over this trip at Lingfield latest. Better over further, but this stiff finish over 6f will suit.
C&D winner in July 2016, which was the third success on the bounce at that stage in his career. Had gradually fallen in the weights since and took advantage winning from a mark of 66 at Nottingham in June. Still 3lb above that winning mark this afternoon, but definitely one to consider.
Driven out by Kevin Stott to land a moderate Redcar maiden in June 2016 (6f good to soft), but has shown precious little since upped into handicaps. Feasible that he can better his recent comeback run, but others are far more obvious contenders.
The bulk of his best form has come on synthetics (6f Kempton winner in June 2016), and he's been out of sorts on turf lately for Jeremy Gask. However, the pick of his turf efforts (notably at Doncaster in June 2016) suggests he's fully capable from this mark if rejuvenated by a switch of stables.
Runner up in a 5f maiden at this track in July 2015, he's hardly been over-raced since, but did win at Bath later that year before missing the bulk of 2016. He shaped with promise on his return from a year off in early May but has broadly disappointed since and needs to show more.
Took full advantage of a fair mark to come with his customary late rattle on the Tapeta at Newcastle latest (5f). Up in trip here which isn't guaranteed to suit, but needs a strong pace to aim at. Visor discarded in favour of first time cheek-pieces as connections presumably try to keep him on his mettle.
Yet to win away from Wolverhampton, and despite running okay on her stable debut (first run for eight months) at Chepstow in July (6f), she bombed out badly next time over further at Ayr (too keen), and looks rather tricky to win with.
Hamilton specialist who should be suited by dropping back to 6f, and to all intents this track isn't all that dissimilar to his favoured Lanarkshire stomping ground. On a fair mark and versatile in terms of ground; albeit having done much of his most recent racing with cut.

An open contest in which a number of runners come into the reckoning. Baron Run adores Hamilton, but is worth a go at this broadly similar track over his favoured 6f, whilst recent Newcastle winner Ambitious Icarus again has the headgear combination tinkered with in an attempt to keep him on his mettle. Roys Dream is interesting at her seemingly favoured time of year and should make the frame whilst both Soaring Spirits and Major Crispies are largely reliable enough sorts (the former a C&D winner in 2016). However, despite contesting various sellers and claimers, a chance is taken on the filly SEMANA SANTA. She has a race in her from this mark on turf having competed well on the AW from slightly higher perches in the none too distant past.
- Semana Santa
- Soaring Spirits
