Bought for 39,000 gns and finished a close third in a valuable handicap in France. Has shaped better than her recent form figures would indicate although her French efforts suggest she may want slightly further.
Ran into an improver before collecting a shade cosily at Thirsk. Has not been competitive from this mark for a long time but he is looking on top of his game right now.
Successful off higher marks in the past including off a 3lb higher mark at Goodwood (good) over 6f last August. Backed but never looked like justifying the confidence at Carlisle last week.
Has won twice here and been second three times from nine starts. Scored well last time to beat his stable companion who has won since. A 2lb rise is no hardship and he would be expected to go close once again.
Has run on well up the hills at Pontefract and Hamilton to collect on his last two starts. Clearly progressive and potentially ahead of the handicapper. Obvious claims if as effective on this faster track.
His first two starts for the Hugo Palmer yard looked to show some promise over 6f but his two subsequent runs failed to show any progression (wore cheekpieces once). Highly tried in Listed class in his last start for his previous yard and then sold for £12,500 to current connections. Current yard have no great record with handicap debutantes and it may be a while before we see anything from this one.
Showed signs of approaching his peak when noted staying on late at Cork last time. Stable desperately in need of a winner but are 14-49 here and will be hoping for some rain.

Forecasts
Black Isle Boy (2/1), Art Obsession (7/2), Vallarta (4/1), Dandyleekie (9/2), The Mcgregornator (6/1), Zapper Cass (6/1), Dark Defender (12/1), Yeeoow (14/1), Dawoodi (33/1)
Dandyleekie and The Mcgregornator would be interesting in the event of rain softening up conditions as both should be approaching their peaks after encouraging seasonal debuts. Art Obsession, Vallarta and Black Isle Boy all won last time. The latter is clearly progressive but this quicker track could be too sharp and preference is for VALLARTA who beat a subsequent winner last time. Ruth Carr's charge rarely runs a bad bad race here and a 2lb rise for a fluid success gives him an excellent chance to follow up.
