Has raced only on AW surfaces since joining his current stable. Only win came in a Curragh maiden in August, 2015, so he has plenty to prove lumbered with top weight.
Ran with mixed fortunes on AW surfaces during the winter, but was not at his best on turf last year. Has slipped to an attractive mark compared to his younger days and is respected in this company.
Lightly-raced Irish import who made an eyecatching debut for his new stable when fourth at Catterick last month. Sure to strip fitter for that run and represents a yard which excels with other trainers' cast-offs. Plenty more to come and has a major chance.
Has shown little aptitude for hurdling since joining his current yard, but was a fair AW performer last year and reverts to the Flat in a bid to revive his career. Only limited evidence of ability on turf, and others have more convincing profiles.
Landed a Newcastle apprentice handicap in February before running with credit in two hurdles and a handicap at Thirsk. Looks high enough in the handicap, but is in good heart and should give another good account.
Won a C&D handicap off an 8lb high mark a couple of seasons ago. Has been campaigned over further, without much success, in recent races, but is dangerous to dismiss off his current rating and with a visor fitted for the first time.
Has a history of hitting the frame without winning, but runs for the first time for his new stable and returns from a break with cheekpieces fitted. Well worth a second look in the betting.
Forecasts
Nanny Makfi (15/8), Life Knowledge (4/1), Genres (5/1), Star Glitter (5/1), Restive (11/2), Celtic Power (14/1), Recognition (66/1)
Nanny Makfi is of interest for his new yard and with cheekpieces tried, but STAR GLITTER went in the notebook after his first run for his stable at Catterick and can fulfil the promise of that effort. Genres has slipped to a workable mark and could make his presence felt.
